Review: School Assistant by Sun Apps is a highly functional school planner app that offers a range of features to help students stay organized. It has been recognized and featured by Apple and 9to5Mac, and has been included in various Apple app lists, such as "Apps We Love Right Now," "A+ Apps for Students," and "23 Apps for 2023."
The app allows users to effectively manage their schoolwork by keeping track of homework and tests. With its intuitive interface, users can easily sort assignments by due date, class, category, or alphabetically. Additional information such as related classes, due dates, submission locations, and notes can also be added. Users can set reminders and highlight upcoming or overdue schoolwork for better time management. The app even offers Home Screen widgets that display the number of assignments and tests at a glance.
School Assistant also includes a schedule feature that enables students to keep track of their classes on a daily basis. Users can add associated teacher and room information or even add links for online classes. The app automatically switches between days based on the day of the week and supports different schedule formats, such as A/B week schedules or up to ten-week cycles. The current class and next class can be viewed on the dashboard or through Home Screen widgets.
The app seamlessly integrates with Google Classroom, providing convenient access to assignments within the app itself. Users can view assignment details and quickly add them to their schoolwork with a single tap. One-tap access to view assignments in the Classroom app is also available.
For those with an Apple Watch, School Assistant offers a dedicated app that provides quick access to important information. Users can easily view their Schoolwork, which is automatically sorted into assignments and tests. The schedule for any day can also be viewed, along with the current and next classes and the time remaining. The app even allows users to customize the color theme to match their Apple Watch or outfit.
In addition to these features, School Assistant offers customization options such as choosing a custom theme color and selecting from over 20 app icons. The app syncs data automatically and seamlessly across devices through iCloud. It also supports various iOS features, including Slide Over and Split View for iPad, dynamic text, Home Screen widgets, and multi-window support. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple Watch.
School Assistant by Sun Apps provides a comprehensive and user-friendly experience for students seeking an efficient school planning tool. With its wide range of features and seamless integration with popular platforms like Google Classroom, the app proves to be a valuable companion for academic success.
